Driver Assistance Features in the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta
The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta is outfitted tons of key Driver Assistance features.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control allows you to maintain a preset distance from the vehicle in front of you. When the system is on, the Jetta will speed up and slow down just as the car in front of you does. This way you always maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you.
Blind Spot Monitor
When you are attempting to change lanes, the Blind Spot Monitor will alert you both visually and audibly if there is a car in your blind spot. If you have Lane Assist, the car will help steer you back into your lane safely.
If the Lane Assist system notices that you are starting to veer from your lane without using a turn signal, it will gently steer you back into your lane.
Rear Traffic Alert
When you are backing up the sensors on the Jetta will alert you to a vehicle crossing your path while you are in reverse. If needed, the car can even safely brake for you to avoid a collision.
The Forward Collision Warning will alert you if it thinks a forward crash is going to happen. The Autonomous Emergency Braking will kick in and brake the car for you to help avoid a collision.
High Beam Control uses a camera mounted on the front of the car to see if there are headlights or taillights in front of the Jetta. If there is, the system can turn the high beams on and off as needed.
