A turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.4-liter engine is standard for all 2019 Volkswagen Jetta models. This engine has an output of 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The transmission paired to this engine depends on which of the five trim levels drivers choose: S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium. The S trim comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission with an eight-speed automatic transmission available as well. The remaining four trims come standard with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
