Volkswagen has been rolling out a few new model names lately, and that’s probably not going to stop anytime soon. One of the more recent models Volkswagen has released is the Atlas, an SUV of the crossover variety. It’s midsize technically but made to seat seven total passengers across three rows. The 2021 model year of the Atlas should be arriving soon, in time to tangle with the likes of the Subaru Forester and Toyota Sequoia. Read on to learn about the features and pricing details for the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas.

2021 Volkswagen Atlas Features

The Atlas will be found with two different powertrains. A four-cylinder engine with 235 horsepower will get things started, but the second engine option will be a V6 engine capable of generating a maximum horsepower of 276. 4MOTION® all-wheel drive is available on each engine. An 8-speed automatic transmission rounds out the mechanical details regardless of the engine. These powertrain arrangements are new to this model year.

If you plan to use the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas to tow, there is also a V6 towing package so you can get a factory-installed trailer hitch and more to make the Atlas the towing machine you need.
